it’s another mob psycho book debinded & scanned! the official picture collection is a 100-page book of penciled keyframes from the first season of the show. the book is out of print now and only available via the secondary market, so i wanted to let people who missed out be able to enjoy it. season 2 is in the same boat, and i’m gonna work on getting it scanned as well. season 3’s book is currently available to purchase officially at studio bones’ online store.
the book is entirely images, the only text present is a couple notes on some of the pictures, so it’s entirely enjoyable without being able to read japanese. also, the parapara opening bits on the corners are flipbooks of the frames from the opening! they don’t.. really work in digital format, though

you know i’m pretty sure ONE didn’t plan things out this far but given what little we know about her (she’s a bank employee + thinks reigen should turn himself in), i’m of the personal belief that reigen’s sister is in the AML (anti-money laundering) department at her bank rather than a teller or anything else that immediately comes to mind when people think “bank employee.” please it’d be so funny if she genuinely thinks he’s committing white-collar crimes (which need i remind everyone isn’t actually something reigen is guilty of as far as canon goes. i say this lightheartedly because it’s a funny fanon joke and all but i feel the need to clarify this) and that he should be arrested for wiring illicit funds to switzerland or some shit. she thinks they’re sworn enemies due to their respective jobs, even though the truth of the matter is that she’s busy pinpointing suspicious activity and stopping criminals from fucking up the financial system and he’s just lying because he fucking hates himself.

Then a few years later they said, regardless of our promises or contract obligations we are cancelling shows after two seasons without telling anyone. Turns out no matter how loved a show is, we get less subscriptions after the second season.
How many subscriptions did we bring you? Netflix won’t say.
So writers started writing two season shows. Just give us two seasons, Netflix. Like you promised.
Then Netflix said, oops sorry! Turns out your show didn’t premiere at #1 and the views in the first day weren’t what we wanted so we’re cancelling your second season.
What were the numbers? How many people watched our show? Netflix doesn’t say.
Then, they did something extra special. They started taking shows and splitting their first season into two halves. Inside Job was not two seasons. It was one season split in half.
Oops! Sorry! The second half of your first season didn’t do as well as the first half, so now your show is cancelled!
Why? How many people? How much money? These companies are making cash hand over fist and they refuse to tell people the truth: people loved your show. Loved it. But some corpo exec wanted an infinite money making machine. Do you know how long shows are in production for before you watch them? Years. Like, 5+, even 10+ years. And Netflix gives it less than a week before they decide whether you’re getting cancelled.

joseph from mp100 was so funny. he literally didn’t do ANYTHING like he just showed up, did nothing, and then was like “okay bye guys. my work here is done” like SIR who even are you. i didn’t even remember who he was until he appeared in the anime and for several minutes i thought he was a character that studio bones added in. where is he now. what’s he doing these days? who the fuck cares it’s joseph, the one character that only those people in the weird ass microscopic corner of the mp100 fandom where they ship him with touichirou remember.
no offense to anyone personally but I think we are way too used to and comfortable with weekly releases and if that wasn’t already bad enough, it seems like most of you aren’t even patient enough to wait for the official release date my point is this industry moves way too quickly
The way that people treat with the medium of manga is interesting and sad because a lot of mangaka are disabled and becoming disabled because of the intense workload. The grace extended to legendary author-artists like Togashi should be how all these artists are treated, and more. Your favorite artists are destroying themselves to create the pages you consume and make judgments on and they deserve to take the time their bodies need to recover from these efforts. The weekly release schedule is literally hurting artists.
What’s worse is how they’re expected to do extra work unpaid like exclusive bonus illustrations for retailers and are expected to pay for assistants themselves. Licensing deals with adaptions are fucked up Gureishi is not the only one who has said an anime adaption did nothing for them financially Hideaki Sorachi of Gintama fame has also been open about how little money he has made from the hugely successful Gintama live action projects. Its so fucked up out there for them with no safeguards when their health fails them aside from living off of royalties, and this is an “improvement” from when publishers were fully okay roping manga artists into doing more than one serial at a time or lock them up in hotels with no sleep until they completed their manuscripts
